The Heyser is cut from crushed velvet jersey — not standard velvet, but a knit-backed construction that moves with the body while holding the light-catching texture that makes crushed velvet worth the trouble. Every fold shifts between matte and sheen. It's a fabric that performs differently under afternoon sun than it does under restaurant light, which is exactly the point.
The silhouette borrows from the unhurried proportions of early 1970s California — relaxed through the body, generous at 25 inches in length, falling just past the hip to create a line that flatters without clinging. Turtleneck. Long sleeve. Pullover. Nothing extraneous. The velvet is doing the work, and the cut knows enough to stay out of its way.
Layer it under a printed Nuvula coat and the texture becomes a rich, tactile ground note beneath the illustration. Wear it alone with wide-leg trousers and it carries the entire room on its own.
