Behind the Scenes: Crafting the Enchanting World of Nuvula's Circus Music Video
Years ago, we had the opportunity to develop the costume design and wardrobe for Samuel Woldenberg’s music video "Oro." This captivating, circus-themed production transports viewers into a world of whimsy, color, and creativity. More than just a video, it's a visual feast and a love story set against the enchanting backdrop of the circus, showcasing the magic of artistic collaboration.
A Vision Inspired by the Circus
The circus has always been a realm of enchantment, filled with vibrant colors, daring acts, and a sense of wonder. Nuvula drew inspiration from this rich history, diving deep into the palette of colors, textures, and characters that define the circus. From the elegant ringmaster to the daring trapeze artist, each costume was meticulously designed to capture the essence of these iconic figures while adding Nuvula's unique avant-garde twist.

Designing the Dream
Nuvula's creative team, led by Rebeca Victoria and Vanessa Victoria, embarked on a journey to bring this vision to life. Every piece of wardrobe was crafted with care, ensuring that it not only looked stunning on camera but also embodied the spirit of the circus. Rich velvets, shimmering sequins, and bold patterns were combined to create outfits that are as dramatic as they are beautiful.
A Stellar Collaboration
To bring this vision to life in a mesmerizing music video, Nuvula collaborated with renowned Colombian director Santiago Mora, celebrated for his innovative storytelling and keen eye for detail. Produced by Kree 8 Production in partnership with producer Natalia Barriga, the team was the perfect choice to helm this project alongside set designer and multimedia artist Cristobal Valecillos. Together, their ability to seamlessly blend visual art with narrative brought the circus story to life.
Crucially a bi-coastal style influencer, expert fashion stylist Juanita Londono assumed a multifaceted role in the wardrobe and costume design process. She acted as a pivotal bridge between Nuvula and the project's director, harmoniously integrating diverse elements to elevate the overall collaborative magic. Juanita's charisma and style added a layer of sophistication and allure to the video. Her presence elevated each scene, making the costumes and the overall production shine even brighter.
The Perfect Setting: California's Desert
Filming in the vast, otherworldly landscape of California's desert added an element of surrealism to the music video. The stark, expansive backdrop contrasted beautifully with the vibrant, ornate costumes, creating a visual symphony that is both striking and unforgettable. The desert's golden sands and dramatic skies served as the perfect canvas for Nuvula's circus fantasy.
Bringing the Vision to Life
The production process was an exhilarating journey filled with creativity, collaboration, and a shared passion for storytelling. From early morning rehearsals to late-night shoots under the starlit sky, every moment was infused with the energy and excitement of bringing a dream to life. The entire team worked tirelessly to ensure that every detail was perfect, resulting in a music video that captured the director's vision.
The Final Act
The culmination of this incredible journey is a music video that is not just a feast for the eyes but also a testament to the power of collaboration and creativity. Nuvula’s designs, inspired by the history and wonder of the circus, are showcased in a way that highlights the brand’s dedication to sustainable fashion and artistic excellence.
